Congratulations to the HUSC Xtreme U17B team. They took first place in the winter indoor Futsal league for the second year in a row. The boys were very strong in their play this season with 48 goals for and 29 goals against. The team now looks forward to their regular outdoor league play in the upcoming Spring season.
The Hunterdon United Xtreme team completed their outdoor season by winning the Mid-NJ U16B Playoffs. They finished their regular season by taking First Place in their Flight 1 Division. Then went on to win against the other flight winners in a playoff series to become the overall champion. It’s been quite a season for the Xtreme, as they placed First in the Hopewell Valley Memorial Day Tournament, and went undefeated in their Winter Indoor League becoming the Jersey Premier Futsal Division champions. The boys will join their school teams this Fall, and then look forward to another great season together in 2010.
Several HUSC teams participated in the 24th Annual Hopewell Valley Memorial Day Tournament which drew teams from NJ, NY, PA and MD. With 10 HUSC teams participating, three HUSC teams took home 1st place finishes (Invasion, Thunder, and Xtreme), one team took home a 2nd place finish (Blue Lightning) and three teams took home 3rd place finishes (Blue Devils, Gunners, and Wildcats).
The HUSC teams participating were; Hydra (U9G), Hurricanes (U10G), Blue Lightning (U11G), Blue Devils (U12G), Gunners (U12 B), Thunder (U13B), Riptide (U14G), Invasion (U14G), Wildcats (U15B) and Xtreme (U16B).
